Yesterday I showed you the first page of my latest project – the first one I could call finished (ish).
This is the latest page, I began playing with over the weekend.
Starting out with gesso and inks, layered up and finished with hot glue blobs
Inspired by the very lovely and talented Contadina K
Love!!!

I think the colors are so beautiful. They are like little jewels, all together on the page. At first, I thought the lines could even be sewn into the piece, then realized they weren’t. Wonderful!! And I love all the different textures that you built up with the gesso. (I’m guessing that’s how you did it … although perhaps I’m wrong.) So far, this is a wonderfully lovely project!

Yep – that’s exactly it…. playing at mark making in wet gesso. It really is a lovely medium! + the magic of hot glue! Certainly something I’ll be playing more with! (Those little doodley lines – they are fine wispiy strands of glue too) Best fun times!! 😀

The fine doodley lines are from the hot glue – it makes very fine threads when you lift the glue gun up from the surface (a bit like spun sugar), then ink dripped on top.
